Web Content Management
Web Content Management (WCM) refers to the process of authoring, branding, managing and gaining insight into the content of a website using specific tools. As a subset of Enterprise Content Management, WCM relies on a core repository for library functionality such as versioning, source control, auditing and publishing workflows that enable authorised people in the organisation to easily create content whilst simultaneously allowing for tight control over what gets published.

New WCM technologies that allow business units to author their own content without the bottleneck of a central webmaster have caused many business decision makers to rethink their incumbent WCM strategy. Previous generation websites are being upgraded but in many cases a complete overhaul of the WCM technology platform is evident.
New technologies, such as SharePoint Server 2010, are in touch with the latest web trends, allowing organisations to combine authenticated and controlled content with end-user submitted “social content”; and leveraging embedded search technology for an immersive customer experience creating websites that “understand their content” so that it can be better delivered to the end user.
Intervate has extensive experience with web design both on and off the SharePoint platform. Our combination of web development, information architecture, and SharePoint expertise allows us to state with confidence that few companies can match our ability to deliver compelling websites that will improve customer loyalty, create better lead generation and provide more effective campaign targeting through the web presence.
